Delivering lightning-fast upshifts and heart-racing split-second downshifts with rev-matching, the paddle shifters in the RC help you realize the full potential of its 3.5-liter V6 or turbocharged engines. And, in the available Sport S/Sport S+ modes, the transmission is so advanced it varies its shifting based on G-forces. By detecting when the RC enters a curve, a lower gear is held throughout for optimal response when accelerating out.

Throw caution to the wind. Or the rain. With the brilliantly engineered all-wheel drive system on the RC 300 AWD and RC 350 AWD, you experience control in nearly every driving condition. By monitoring current conditions, the system automatically distributes engine power between the front and rear axles to provide optimum traction and control—even in inclement weather.
The RC 300 AWD pairs a six-speed automatic transmission with a 260-horsepower* 3.5-liter V6. Featuring Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, the engine is designed to provide added torque at lower speeds and greater horsepower at higher speeds. These refinements combine to generate 236 lb-ft of torque* from 2,000–4,800 rpm.
The RC 300 is powered by a more responsive 2.0-liter, twin-scroll-turbocharged and intercooled in-line four-cylinder engine with direct injection. The surge of power in the 241-horsepower* RC 300 doesn’t let up—thanks to the Lexus engineers who spent years researching, developing and refining its turbocharger. Generating 258 lb-ft of torque* from 1,650–4,400 rpm, the engine is paired to a rear-wheel drive system and is easy on fuel consumption with a 30-MPG highway fuel economy estimate.*
